With over 3000 years of history, chocolate has coincided with the world of literature from time to time, as the central figure in classical novels or bestsellers, but also as a simple background to some most famous books. For example, back in 1700 the Italian writer Carlo Goldoni –  renowned lover of the food of Gods – reported in his play “La bottega del caffè” about chocolate being used in gambling. The play “La Locandiera” covered similar ground.

So let’s discover other chocolate scented titles not to be missed!
